He may have faced excruciating decisions in his past, but the fact that he is willing to care for Camille and seeks a life less complicated, shows that he is not beyond saving.

  1. Isolation Versus Belonging

Physically and emotionally, Duncan self-isolates. At the beginning, he thinks of this as a form of protection. But as the story goes on he discovers that a form of connection is not just a matter of survival, but a source of fulfillment. Camille is the one who makes him realize that he actually has the ability to belong somewhere.

This film’s narrative is beautifully resonated by the quiet snowy visuals. The seamless links between visuals and the plot strengthen the major themes, enhancing both beauty and significance.

Weaknesses.

Others might describe the pace as portraying a non-keleidoscopic view of the plot that juxtaposes restless segments with personal intermissions.
