The representation of Batman in this films seems to be older and more emotionally driven. He has witnessed the evil in the world after years of fighting crime in gotham. In this movie superman is still a beacon of hope but is also under intense public scrutiny. This is a new world with new challenges and the people are unsure of what to make of superman even though his intentions are good. Clark struggles to find a work life balance as he faces the challenges of being a human.
Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot)
Even though Wonder Woman’s role in this movie is smaller in comparison to the other two heroes, her entrance is still very impactful. She is a strong sage with a tinge of mystery. She certainly adds excitement to the DCEU and adds extra tension into the movie.
Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg)
Lex Luthor is a very smart, yet, in some ways, nefarious man. All he really does is obsess over Superman’s strength. To him, anything beyond the boundaries of a human is too dangerous and needs to be restrained or wiped off the face of the earth. To prove the point of how irrational thinking and fear can create havoc, Luthor demonstrates how he can masterfully pit people against one another.
Alfred Pennyworth (Jeremy Irons)
Alfred, Bruce Wayne’s ever-loyal, yet honest butler and friend, doles out some of the funniest lines in the movie while still dispensing sage advice. For Bruce, the voice of reason is challenging to put a face on, but it is Alfred, and he is the one who is supposed to encourage Bruce to stop making decisions based off of pride or fear.
